Hi

A Bit About Me

I work as software and DSP engineer who designs real-time signal processing and AI algorithms for consumer products.

Melbourne Space Program

Lead a student team to build a high data-rate telecommunications system for a 1U "nano-satellite" for launch into LEO.

Blog

Journals the development of a few home projects, designed with a good friend.

Why this?

I have a passion for working in teams where physics, hardware design, software design and data analytics all intersect. Working with DSP and algorithms affords me this opportunity.

From satellite telecommunications, to audio capture and render, to long range LiDAR - I have had impact on many interesting and challenging products.

Education

2015-2017

Masters of Electrical Engineering
University of Melbourne

I loaded up on telecommunications, information theory and signal processing subjects, since they led to solving some of the most fascinating and technical problems in engineering. Pursuing this interest, I helped start the Melbourne Space Program student group and led a team through the PHY design for a 1U nanosatellite, which then became my thesis project.

2011-2014

Bachelor of Science (Mechanical Systems)
University of Melbourne

I started my university education seeking a profession in Mechanical Engineering, since I had a few great mechanical engineering mentors early on. As the degree progressed I came to realise robotics was most interesting - and through it I came to love electrical and software engineering.
